Turning a passion for soccer into a practical job is no easy feat. Yet, for a young man coming from Vallo della Lucania, the dream became reality through determination, study and love for the most beautiful game in the world.
"I decided to enroll in the Sport Business Academy soccer scouting course because I wanted to give professional meaning to my passion," he says. A path that proved not only formative, but decisive for his personal and sporting growth.
Training: where the eye of the observer is born
The most useful lessons? "No doubt the technical-tactical analysis and methodological approach to observation." During her first field reports, she realized that that was where she belonged: "I felt I was in the right place, finally part of the world I had always admired."
Contact with the professional observers opened his eyes to the importance of details: "I was struck by the precision and ability to capture aspects invisible to most."
The experience at Giugliano Calcio
The internship at the Giugliano Football was the testing ground: match analysis, report writing, technical meetings and constant discussion with the staff. "I was able to put theory and intuition into practice on the field," he says.
It was an environment that helped him grow not only technically, but also humanly: "They gave me confidence and responsibility, allowing me to learn every day."
Most exciting moment? "When my first report was analyzed by the staff before an official competition. At that moment I knew I was part of the project."
The daily work of the scout
Today his work is divided between studying matches, analyzing players and preparing detailed reports, often shared with the technical staff. "It takes a clinical eye, critical spirit, patience and a lot of passion.".
To construct a complete assessment of a footballer, he explains, "it is necessary to combine live observation, video analysis and objective data. This is the only way to get a truly comprehensive view.".
Dreams, inspirations and the future
The young observer looks forward with enthusiasm: "I would like to become a point of reference in the Giugliano scouting area.". Among the models of inspiration he cites the Premier League and the Brighton, a club known for the excellence of its scouting department.
And for those who want to take the same path, the advice is clear: "Study a lot, look at soccer with different eyes and don't be in a hurry."
An educational, intense, unforgettable journey
The love for soccer began as a child: "The ball has always been a part of me." Over time, the passion turned into analysis, observation and reflection.
Among his sources of inspiration, he cites the Guardiola's Barcelona e Sergio Busquets: "Pure tactical inspiration."
Curious, determined and thoughtful, he describes himself as follows. His motto? "Talent gets you started, dedication gets you there." And behind each of his victories is the pride of his family: "They are my first fans."
