Sport Business Academy featured in Sportstar Magazine with sports photography

Sports photography is not just a craft, but a true art that combines technique, creativity, and a deep passion for sports. Capturing the energy of an action, the intensity of an athlete or the emotion of an audience requires not only great technical skill, but also a thorough understanding of the dynamics of the game. This concept was the focus of the article published in Sportstar Magazine, which highlighted the specialized course in sports photography organized by Sport Business Academy.

An important recognition for our Academy, which confirms the value and impact of the training we offer to those who wish to enter the world of professional sports photography.

A high-level training course

The course, held in Milan from November 19 to 23, 2024, was attended by sixteen professional photographers, led by tutors Sharon Renna and Giulia Morra. During this intense week of training, students had the opportunity to hone their skills in the field, trying their hand at photographing different sports: women's soccer, professional basketball, swimming and motocross.

There was no shortage of challenges: difficult lighting conditions, fast action and complex environments tested participants' skills, making the experience even more educational and engaging.

Field experiences: from stadium to track

Over the course of the week, students got to work in high-level sports environments. From the excitement of photographing Football Milan Ladies training sessions, facing the difficulty of fog and artificial lights, to the adrenaline rush of basketball at the Pala Leonessa A2A of Brescia, where they captured the speed and technique of the game from unique angles.

Sports photography in aquatic environments provided an additional challenge: at Canottieri Milano, students documented swimming and water polo, learning how to handle complex reflections and light conditions.

The highlight of the course was undoubtedly the meeting with Gigi Soldano, a renowned MotoGP and motocross photographer, who shared his 30 years of experience with the participants. At the Malpensa Crossodrome, the students put his advice into practice, capturing the riders' spectacular jumps from strategic positions.

An opportunity for professional growth

The article in Sportstar Magazine highlighted the value of this educational experience, emphasizing how crucial it is for those aspiring to become professional sports photographers to combine technical skills and sports knowledge.

For the students of the Sport Business Academy, this experience represents a springboard to new professional opportunities, thanks in part to partnerships with prominent brands such as SONY, which provided state-of-the-art equipment for the course.

We are proud to see our work recognized by such a prestigious publication as Sportstar Magazine and to be able to offer our students an education that not only prepares them technically, but inspires them to tell the story of sports with powerful and engaging images.
