The SBA Match Analyst Course aims to train professionals with excellent tactical skills and the computer skills necessary to work with specific software, essential to the study through video of matches, teams and players.
Match Analysis is the methodology used to identify the most significant actions during the match, focusing attention not only on one's own team, but also on the opponent's team and individual players: essential elements for coaches and technical staff in order to better prepare their team and aim for the highest level.
The Match Analyst may be part of a football club's technical staff and have direct dealings with the team, coach and coaches, but he or she may also be an external collaborator, supporting the technical staff.
The duties of the Match Analyst are determined by the coach or managers and include video tactical analysis of the team and opposing teams; collection and study of statistical data within the league and cups; analysis of training methods and strategies; analysis of the individual player on the field and specific analysis of the goalkeeper; analysis of ball possession and set pieces; and finally, study of the technical/tactical level of the team and the psychophysical condition of the players.
