The Master's in Data and Performance in Basketball, offered by the Sport Business Academy, is an advanced program integrating data analysis and performance management in basketball.   • Fundamentals of Advanced Statistics: an introduction to statistical indices such as PER, eFG%, TS% and offensive and defensive ratings.
  • Comparative Analysis: study of the differences between traditional and advanced basketball statistics.

 

Athlete Contract Management and Sports Law:

  • Professional Sports Contracts: Structure, Clauses and Negotiation
  • Sports Justice
  • Sports Law: the rules and regulations applicable to basketball.
  • Contract Analysis: study of real-life cases and discussion of practical scenarios.

 

Match Analysis and Strategy Analytics

  • Definition of Match Analysis: techniques for collecting and interpreting game data.
  • Strategy Analytics: using data to optimize team tactics.
  • Analytical tools: an introduction to software for data analysis.

 

Video Analysis for Senior and Youth Teams

  • Video Analysis Tools: using software such as Hudl and Synergy Sports.
  • Data Communication in a Team Context
  • Creating Video Presentations: techniques for making effective coaching videos.
  • Adapting for Different Age Groups: customizing video analysis for both senior teams and youth sectors.

 

Reading and Understanding Individual Statistics

  • Individual Performance Analysis: studying of points, assists, rebounds and efficiency.
  • Data Interpretation: evaluating each player's contribution.
  • Identifying Areas for Improvement: using statistics to highlight weaknesses and growth areas.

Practical Workshops with Real Game Clips Using Video Analysis Software

  • Analyze a EuroLeague game on Synergy or Hudl, tagging all defensive pick-and-roll situations and discussing different adjustments.
  • Create pre- and post-match reports (including sections for players and staff), which can be adapted for your own team or a reference match.

 

Project Work

  • Final Project Development: integration of acquired skills in a comprehensive analysis.
  • Project Presentations: discussion and feedback on the work done.

Final Course Evaluation: analysis of results and reflection on the experience.
